School Places (***updated September 2017***)

Brockington College is an 11-16 secondary school with a total of 1200 places for pupils aged Year 7 to Year 11. The College underwent a £19,000,000 complete rebuild in 2007 and is currently housed in a state-of-the-art, award winning building. In September 2015, 18 further classrooms and offices were added following the move to become an 11-16 school.

We have a long tradition of serving the communities of Enderby, Narborough (includes Littlethorpe), Thurlaston, Huncote and Croft. However, in recent years our catchment has expanded significantly as parents from our surrounding districts have chosen to send their children to Brockington due to our excellent Key Stage 3 results, high standards of behaviour, outstanding inclusion and SEN support, our more and most able provision and excellent facilities and technology. Our most recent Ofsted report (January 2014) described Leadership and Management, Behaviour and Safety, Teaching and Learning and Achievement as ‘good’, with many outstanding features. A Peer Challenge Inspection (unofficial Ofsted inspection) undertaken in April 2016 stated that the school was outstanding in all areas.

Our most recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools report (December 2015) found us to be an “outstanding” school across all categories.

Brockington College has arranged coach transport to serve our large catchment area. As such the following routes operate:

  • Stoney Stanton to Enderby via Croft and Huncote
  • Braunstone Town to Enderby via Thorpe Astley

Parents of Year 6 pupils who wish to enrol at the College in the beginning of Year 7 should follow the standard Leicestershire County Council school enrollment procedures. These may be viewed at the County Council School Admissions homepage.

Brockington College has its own Admissions Policy which reflects our status as a Voluntary Aided Church of England academy. You may view the Admissions Policies for the next academic year via the home page of the college website in the useful information section.
