Religious Studies

Religious Education is taught as part of the entitlement curriculum of all pupils in England and Wales. The Scheme of Work has been developed around the QCA/DfES National Framework and the Leicestershire Agreed Syllabus and have been amended to include some AQA GCSE study ready for transition to KS4. It is approved by the board of Governors and local Diocese. It includes changes and updates in accordance with the new National Curriculum with a focus on Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS). Pupils have 1 lesson a week and all years are taught in mixed ability groups.
