The course plays an invaluable role in the personal, social and educational development of the pupils. During the three years, they are taught transferable life skills such as communication, co-operation, negotiation and self-confidence.

The pupils are actively encouraged to voice their opinions, participate in group work and respect the views of others whilst in turn developing an appreciation for the expressive arts and theatre in particular. This objective is achieved through an exploration of text, film and theatre stimulus and the use of subject specific techniques such as tableau, soundscape, thought tracking and forum theatre.
