October 2013 Bulletin

We finished last term on a high note with the annual Year 7 Harvest Festival at Enderby Parish Church. It was a pleasure to be present alongside all Year 7 pupils, who behaved and sang extremely well. I am thankful to the pupils that were part of the service and to Mrs McKenzie, Miss Styles, Miss Pilgrim and Reverend Taylor, the College Chaplain, for organising the event. I hope that following the end of half-term, you enjoyed the holiday and were able to spend some time together as a family.

The second half of the Autumn Term is likely to be as busy as the first half was and you will shortly receive information about the progress that your child is currently making at the college. For Year 7 and Year 8 pupils, this will come in the form of current National Curriculum levels, targets and attitude to learning grades for each subject. For Year 9 pupils, parents will receive annual reports. In the meantime, it is essential that pupils continue to work hard at school and with homework, as we know that it is the constant effort over time that ultimately brings success at GCSE level.
